Outdoor Field News
The Edmonton Soccer Association is excited to announce the opening of
two more fields at the Edmonton Soccer Association Complex. These fields are
near completion and scheduled to open in June 2006 bringing the total number
of outdoor fields at the Complex to ten. Discussions are taking place between
the Edmonton Soccer Association and the City of Edmonton to construct a 'field
turf' playing field. Two more natural turf playing surfaces are to be developed,
starting this year on the southeast part of the facility. As well, adjacent to the Edmonton
Soccer Centre South, the Edmonton Soccer Association in partnership with the
City of Edmonton is developing four outdoor fields. Opening of these four fields
is slated for summer of 2007.
General Information
The Complex has ten (10) full-sized outdoor fields
with plans for expansion to up to thirteen (13) fields over the next couple of
years. There is also a Clubhouse with thirteen (13) dressing rooms, concession and lounge facilities
located on the site. Four of the fields have spectator benches.
